The Cross、今年9月中旬オーストラリアで撮影開始
2009年5月16日付のVariety.comによると、オーランドの新作映画『The Cross（邦題未定）』は今年の9月中旬からオーストラリアで撮影が開始されるようです。公開は2010年5月を予定。
そうなると、ジョニー・トー監督の映画『The Red Circle』の撮影とかぶらないか不安です。

Bloom, Cassel already on board for sci-fi filmGallic sales shingle Kinology is in advanced talks with John Goodman to join Orlando Bloom and Vincent Cassel on Andrew Niccol’s “The Cross.”
A $24 million sci-fi pic, “Cross” will begin shooting in mid-September in Australia and is skedded for a May 2010 theatrical release. CAA handles North American distribution rights while Gregoire Melin’s Kinology is selling international rights.
“We’re becoming more picky with acquisitions,” said Melin. “And more and more we like to decide together with (Kinology’s production partner) Studio 37 which films we take on.”
Apart from “The Cross,” Melin has taken on some new high-profile English-language films directed by emerging French and European helmers to the Cannes Film Market. His sales slate inlcudes Gallic helmer Benoit Philippon’s “Lullaby for a Pie,” toplining Rupert Friend and Forest Whitaker. Currently in post-production, pic is produced by Christine Vachon and Jean-Charles Levy.
Kinology’s slate also features an Ellen Barkin thriller about French serial impostor Frederic Bourdin, and “State Affairs,” directed by Eric Valette (”One Missed Call”).
The Paris-based company, which was launched last May, will present a 10-minute promo reel of Serge Gainsbourg biopic “Je T’aime, Moi Non Plus,” directed by Joan Sfaar and co-produced by Studio 37, One World Films and Universal.
Another highlight on Kinology’s slate is Juan Solanas’ romance “Upside Down,” for which Melin is in talks with Kirsten Dunst and Emile Hirsch to topline.

撮影場所はシドニーのほかに、ニュー・サウス・ウェールズが追加されたようです。
There is also a strong chance that Orlando Bloom will film at least part of the $24 million sci-fi escape story The Cross, an Australian/French/German co-production, in Sydney.
Additional locations in New South Wales are also under consideration.
